Wolves reject Genoa offer for Fabio Silva

Wolves have rejected Genoa’s loan bid for striker Fabio Silva.

The Serie A club’s offer included an option to buy but it was turned down, although Wolves are keen to sell the Portuguese forward.

Silva has failed to make an impact since moving for a then-record deal worth £35m from Porto in 2020 and has scored just five goals in 72 appearances.

The 22-year-old has spent time on loan at Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven and Rangers over the last two seasons. Last season at Ibrox he scored six goals from 25 appearances.
