Ramos strikes late as PSG edge Barcelona in Champions League clash

Gonçalo Ramos scored a stoppage-time winner to give Paris St-Germain a dramatic victory over Barcelona in a showdown between two Champions League heavyweights.

Barcelona had taken the lead midway through the first half when Ferran Torres slid in to convert Marcus Rashford’s precise low cross.

Rashford, on loan from Manchester United, has now scored or assisted in five of Barça’s past six matches.

The reigning European champions hit back shortly after the interval, with Nuno Mendes bursting forward before finding 19-year-old Senny Mayulu, who calmly slotted past Marc-André ter Stegen.

Despite missing several key players through injury, PSG looked the more threatening side and were rewarded deep into injury time when Achraf Hakimi whipped in a low cross that Ramos finished first time.

The win leaves PSG top of the group with six points from two matches, while Barcelona remain on three.
