Doha: Al Arabi were crowned champions of the Qatar Handball Cup for the 2025–2026 season after edging past Al Duhail 31–29 in a gripping final at Al Duhail Sports Hall on Monday.
Al Arabi produced a spirited comeback to seal the title, overturning a 13–15 halftime deficit with a dominant second-half display. Showing resilience and tactical discipline, they erased the two-goal gap and surged ahead to secure a hard-fought two-goal victory.

The trophy presentation ceremony was attended by HE Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman Al Kuwari, Second Vice President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, and Ahmed Mohammed Al Shaabi, President of the Qatar Handball Association. Al Arabi were awarded the championship trophy and gold medals, while runners-up Al Duhail received silver medals.
The triumph marks Al Arabi’s third Qatar Handball Cup title, adding to their previous successes in the 2020–2021 and 2023–2024 seasons. In contrast, Al Duhail fell short of defending the title they claimed last season.
Al Arabi’s victory also capped a remarkable campaign, completing a historic treble after already securing the Association Cup, the league title, and the Qatar Cup earlier in the season.
