Chelsea were comprehensively beaten 3-0 by Manchester City at Stamford Bridge, as Pep Guardiola’s side delivered a dominant second-half performance to move a step closer to the Premier League title.
The match began with a competitive first half, as Chelsea showed energy and intent in front of their home fans. Liam Rosenior’s side pressed well and tried to disrupt City’s rhythm, limiting clear-cut chances despite the visitors enjoying the majority of possession.
City, however, remained patient. With Rodri controlling the tempo in midfield and their attacking players probing for openings, it always felt like a matter of time before they found a breakthrough.
