MUNICH: Bayern Munich secured a record-extending 35th Bundesliga title with a commanding 4–2 home victory over VfB Stuttgart on Sunday, as Harry Kane netted his 32nd goal of a prolific campaign.
Goals from Raphael Guerreiro, Nicolas Jackson and Alphonso Davies complemented Kane’s strike, while Stuttgart replied through Chris Fuehrich and Chema Andres.
Bayern needed only a point to seal the title following Borussia Dortmund’s 2–1 defeat at Hoffenheim a day earlier, but they delivered emphatically in front of their home crowd to clinch the crown with four matches to spare.
Despite rotating his squad ahead of a crucial German Cup semi-final against Bayer Leverkusen, coach Vincent Kompany saw his side recover swiftly after falling behind. Fuehrich gave Stuttgart the lead in the 21st minute, but Bayern responded with three goals in a devastating seven-minute spell.
Jamal Musiala set up Guerreiro’s equaliser before Luis Diaz assisted quickfire goals for Jackson and Davies, putting Bayern firmly in control by halftime.
Kane added a fourth early in the second half, effectively ending the contest and continuing his remarkable scoring form. With the result beyond doubt, Bayern eased off as celebrations began, even as Stuttgart pulled one back late through Andres.

The triumph further underlined Bayern’s sustained dominance in German football. The Bavarian side have now won 13 of the past 14 league titles and remain unmatched domestically, with no other club reaching double figures in Bundesliga championships.
This season has been particularly notable for Bayern’s attacking output. They have scored a record 109 goals, surpassing the long-standing mark set in the 1971–72 campaign, and boast a goal difference of 80 with four games still to play.
Individually, Kane’s debut season continues to rewrite records. The England captain, already past 30 league goals, is within striking distance of Robert Lewandowski’s single-season Bundesliga record of 41. Meanwhile, Michael Olise has emerged as a key creative force, closing in on the league’s assist record set by Thomas Mueller.
Elsewhere, SC Freiburg boosted their European ambitions with a 2–1 win over 1. FC Heidenheim, while the relegation battle tightened further at the bottom of the table.
For Bayern, however, the focus now shifts to completing a historic campaign, with the newly crowned champions showing no signs of slowing down.
