Inter held to draw at lowly Parma

Serie A leaders Inter Milan let a two-goal lead slip as they were held to a 2-2 draw by struggling Parma on Saturday, with head coach Simone Inzaghi absent from the touchline due to a suspension following his red card last weekend.

Inter got off to a strong start, with Matteo Darmian opening the scoring in the 15th minute, firing in at the near post with the ball ricocheting in off the woodwork. Marcus Thuram made it 2-0 shortly before halftime with an unusual chipped finish.

Despite early pressure from Parma — who had already tested Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer — the home side mounted a comeback in the second half. Substitute Adrian Bernabe pulled one back on the hour mark, and Jacob Ondrejka equalised in the 69th minute after a dazzling solo run.

Inter remain top with 68 points from 31 matches, holding a four-point cushion over second-placed Napoli, who visit fourth-placed Bologna on Monday. Parma sit 16th, four points clear of the relegation zone.
