Tottenham Hotspur are exploring a move for Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo.
The 25-year-old Cameroon international enjoyed a standout Premier League campaign last season, netting 20 goals for the Bees.
His former manager at Brentford, Thomas Frank, was appointed as Spurs’ new head coach on Thursday — adding fuel to speculation of a potential reunion in north London.
Earlier this month, Manchester United lodged a £45m bid, with £10m in potential add-ons, but the offer fell short of Brentford’s valuation and no agreement was reached.
According to sources, Tottenham have yet to submit a formal bid for Mbeumo, though interest in the forward has grown across Europe, with several Champions League clubs monitoring his situation.
Mbeumo, who joined Brentford from French side Troyes in 2019, has scored 70 goals in 242 appearances for the club.
His current contract runs until next year, with Brentford holding the option to extend it by a further season. Notably, there is no release clause included in his deal.
