Nottingham Forest sign Swiss winger Dan Ndoye from Bologna on five-year deal

Nottingham Forest have signed Switzerland winger Dan Ndoye from Bologna on a five-year contract.

The 24-year-old leaves Serie A after scoring nine goals in 41 appearances last season, including the winner in Bologna’s Coppa Italia final victory over AC Milan — their first major trophy in more than 50 years.

“It is a really exciting time at Forest and I knew straight away that I wanted to be part of the project,” said Ndoye. “It’s a really ambitious team with a fantastic history and I can’t wait to get started.”

Ndoye, capped 22 times by Switzerland with three international goals, becomes Forest’s third major summer signing following Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha from Botafogo.

The club sold Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United earlier in the window but secured a boost by persuading midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White to sign a new contract, despite Tottenham triggering his £60m release clause.
