Doha: In anticipation of the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025, Lusail International Circuit (LIC) has initiated the Qatar GP Educational Tour, a programme designed to empower young individuals by showcasing how LIC contributes to the advancement of motorsport in Qatar.
This initiative also aims to create opportunities for youth to engage with the community and take advantage of the activities provided.
The programme is intended to link students with the thrill and innovation associated with motorsport. Through this initiative, students will acquire a more profound understanding of the importance of LIC and its functions beyond merely hosting premier events. It seeks not only to cultivate a passion for motorsport but also to align with the overarching goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
Launched on September 25 at Multaqa, Qatar Foundation, the tour will be visiting universities and schools across Qatar until November 15, under the slogan “From the Track to Your Campus.” By offering interactive experiences such as VR pit stop challenges, STEM-related activities, quizzes, and photo opportunities, the program provides students with a practical introduction to the realm of Formula 1.
The initiative is based on education, aimed at demonstrating the educational benefits of motorsport by linking themes of technology, innovation, and practical application directly to students.
Through the Qatar GP Educational Tour, students will engage in a 1:1 virtual reality simulation of LIC, showcasing the recently revealed 2025 Qatar Grand Prix Show Car livery and the experience of being on one of the two tracks globally that hosts all three major motorsport events, including Formula 1, MotoGP, and the Qatar 1812 km World Endurance Championship.
Alongside this experience, they will take part in interactive activities—including quizzes and STEM-based challenges,enhancing knowledge not only about LIC itself but on how the teams in Formula 1 structured and the technicalities behind its races.
The Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025 takes place from November 28–30 at LIC. Tickets are selling quickly, with discounts available for students and senior citizens, and free admission for up to four children under 12 when accompanied by a paying adult as part of the “Family Friday” offer for holders of General Admission Tickets.
