Mexico City: Football and music will come together in Mexico City on June 10 as fans prepare for a unique FIFA World Cup 2026™ Countdown Concert celebration, taking place simultaneously across the three host nations ahead of the tournament.
Following the unveiling of a star-studded line-up for the Toronto edition of the concert series, organisers have now revealed details of the festivities planned in Mexico City, where fans will gather at the iconic Auditorio Nacional for the special “México Vibra” event.
Spectators attending the event are encouraged to arrive from 5:00 PM local time to take part in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert experience, which will connect supporters in Mexico City with fans in Toronto and Los Angeles through a synchronised celebration of football and music. The opening programme will feature surprise appearances, live broadcast moments and performances shared across the three host cities.
As part of the evening’s entertainment, acclaimed Mexican group Los Ángeles Azules, joined by Belinda and Elena Rose, will headline the FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert in Mexico City alongside a special guest, helping set the tone for the tournament countdown.
Jurgen Mainka, FIFA World Cup 2026 Chief Tournament Officer for Mexico, described the city as one of the world’s most passionate football capitals, where sport and music are deeply woven into everyday culture.
He said the concert would showcase Mexico’s hospitality, cultural identity and growing excitement for the FIFA World Cup, while also bringing together Canada, Mexico and the United States in a shared celebration ahead of the historic tournament.
Created by the Mexico City Host Committee, “México Vibra” is designed as a flagship cultural event celebrating the nation’s musical identity. The programme will take audiences on a journey through Mexico’s musical heritage, featuring contemporary stars, special guest appearances and performances spanning generations and genres.
The Mexico City concert forms part of a wider FIFA World Cup 2026 celebration taking place simultaneously across all three host countries. In Canada, previously announced performers for the Toronto concert include Bryan Adams, Nora Fatehi with Sanjoy, Vegedream and a special collaboration between AHI and Wyclef Jean, while details of the United States programme are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
Organised in collaboration with the Grammys®, the Countdown Concert will feature internationally renowned artists appearing on the Official FIFA World Cup 2026™ Album alongside other global performers and special guests.
Fans worldwide will be able to watch the FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert live through FIFA’s broadcast and digital platforms, including a global livestream on the FIFA World Cup TikTok account, with TikTok serving as the exclusive social media livestream partner.
