Bayern Munich kickstarted their 2026/27 campaign on a high note by defeating Borussia Dortmund 2-1 to capture the DFL Super cup at Signal Iduna Park. Driven by an electric performance from French international Michael Olise, Vincent Kompany’s side controlled the tempo early on to secure the first domestic trophy of the season.

The Bavarians opened the scoring in the 28th minute when Olise worked the ball into the penalty area before setting up summer signing Nathaniel Brown, who drove a low strike past Gregor Kobel on his competitive debut for the club. Olise then doubled Bayern's advantage right on the brink of halftime (45+1'), capitalizing on a midfield turnover to finish calmly into the bottom corner.

Borussia Dortmund mounted a spirited second-half response following tactical changes, eventually pulling a goal back in the 75th minute through substitute Fábio Silva. However, despite late pressure and a stoppage-time red card for Dortmund's Ramy Bensebaini, Bayern held firm to secure the 2-1 victory and lift the Supercup.
