New Delhi: The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) participated in the 44th General Assembly meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia, held on Sunday in the Indian capital, New Delhi.
The delegation of the Qatar Olympic Committee was led by H E Mohammed bin Youssef Al Mana, the First Vice President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, with the attendance of H E Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman Al-Kuwari, the Second Vice President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, H E Jassim bin Rashid Al Buainain, Secretary-General of the Qatar Olympic Committee and Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia for the Doha 2030 Asian Games, Sheikha Asma bint Thani Al Thani, Head of Marketing and International Relations Sector, and Sheikh Khalifa bin Khalid Al Thani, Head of Sports Sector at the Committee.
During the meeting, the final report of the Hangzhou Asian Games was presented, and the topics on the agenda were discussed, focusing on enhancing joint Asian cooperation in the sports field and advancing the Asian Olympic Movement.
H E Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman Al-Kuwari, the Second Vice President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, was re-elected as Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia for the West Asia region.
Additionally, H E Jassim Rashid Al-Buainain, Secretary-General of the Qatar Olympic Committee, was appointed Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia for the 2030 Asian Games.
Sheikha Asma bint Thani Al Thani, Director of Marketing and International Cooperation, was also appointed Vice President of the Gender Equity Commission of the Olympic Council of Asia.
