Thuram scores twice but Juventus held by Fiorentina

Khephren Thuram scored twice as Juventus were held by Fiorentina in Serie A.

Thuram – the son of Lilian and brother of Marcus – netted his first goal for Juve in the 20th minute, slotting into the bottom corner.

Fiorentina forward Moise Kean levelled the scoring before the break with a header from close range for his 11th league goal of the campaign.

France international Thuram put the home side back in front shortly after the interval with his second strike of the match.

However, the hosts were unable to hang on and Riccardo Sottil fired a fierce left-footed volley into the roof of the net with three minutes remaining to snatch a point for La Viola.

The result means Thiago Motta’s side extended their unbeaten run to 26 matches but remain sixth in the table, level on points with Fiorentina.

Juve have drawn 11 of their 18 matches so far this term and are nine points behind leaders Atalanta.
