Elliott scores Liverpool winner in PSG smash and grab

In a stunning turn of events, Liverpool snatched a dramatic 1-0 win over Paris St-Germain in the Champions League last-16 first leg.

Despite being utterly dominated by the hosts, who unleashed a whopping 27 shots, the Reds held firm and struck gold in the 87th minute.

PSG’s forwards, Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, were virtually unstoppable at times, but Liverpool’s rock-solid defense, marshaled by the incredible Alisson, kept them at bay.

The Brazilian goalkeeper made an astonishing nine saves to keep his team in the game.

The breakthrough finally came when substitute Harvey Elliott, on his first touch, slotted home after being expertly picked out by Darwin Nunez.

The PSG players were left shell-shocked, wondering how they had failed to capitalize on their overwhelming dominance.
