Jokic’s Triple-Double Powers Nuggets Past Suns

Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic etched his name in the NBA record books by becoming the first player to achieve a triple-double of at least 30 points, 20 rebounds, and 20 assists in a single game.

The Nuggets secured a thrilling 149-141 overtime victory over the Phoenix Suns, with Jokic scoring 31 points, grabbing 21 rebounds, and dishing out 22 assists.

The Serbian sensation, who was voted the league’s Most Valuable Player last season, led his team to their second consecutive win.

The Nuggets now boast a 41-22 win-loss record, placing them third in the Western Conference.

Phoenix staged a remarkable comeback, trailing by 21 points in the third quarter before forcing overtime.

Kevin Durant’s buzzer-beating three-pointer sent the game into extra time, but Denver regrouped to secure the win.

The Nuggets face a stiff test on Sunday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who currently lead the Western Conference. The Thunder defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 107-89 in their latest outing.

In the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers extended their winning streak to 13 games with a 118-117 victory over the Charlotte Hornets.

The Cavaliers have already secured their playoff spot, solidifying their position as conference leaders.
