Barcelona took a significant step towards winning the La Liga title with a comfortable victory over Osasuna in their rearranged fixture.
The match, originally scheduled for March 8, was postponed due to the sudden passing of Barcelona’s first-team doctor, Carles Minarro Garcia.
Hansi Flick’s side dominated the game, with Ferran Torres opening the scoring from Alex Balde’s cross.
Dani Olmo then won a penalty, which he eventually converted after Sergio Herrera’s initial save was overturned due to an Osasuna player encroaching in the box.
Olmo’s night was cut short due to an injury, but substitute Robert Lewandowski sealed the win with a headed goal from a swift counter-attack.
This victory propels Barcelona three points clear of Real Madrid and seven points ahead of Atletico Madrid at the top of the La Liga table.
Next up for the Catalans is a home fixture against neighbors Girona on Sunday.
