World Athlete of the Year, Olympic gold medalist, and Botswana international Letsile Tebogo is set to host world-class competitors as the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold arrives in Gaborone, Botswana, this Saturday.
Botswana marks the second stop in the 2025 World Athletics Continental Tour Gold series, which spans 13 meetings across five continents.
The Gold-level competition began last month in Melbourne, Australia, where Tebogo finished second in the 400 meters, trailing his compatriot Bayapo Ndori.
The Golden Grand Prix will serve as a crucial warm-up for the World Championships later this year.
In 2024, the Continental Tour saw participation from over 20,000 athletes representing nearly 200 nations, producing one world record, 12 area records, 205 national records, and 7,146 personal bests.
