Newcastle boss Howe taken to hospital

Newcastle United have confirmed that manager Eddie Howe has been admitted to hospital and will miss Sunday’s crucial Premier League clash against Manchester United.

According to a statement released by the club, Howe was hospitalized late on Friday after feeling unwell for several days. He is currently undergoing further tests and is receiving expert medical care.

“We can confirm that Eddie Howe has been admitted to hospital for further tests after feeling unwell for a number of days,” the club’s statement read. “Medical staff kept Eddie in hospital overnight for further tests, which are ongoing. He is conscious and talking with his family, and is continuing to receive expert medical care.”

In Howe’s absence, assistant managers Jason Tindall and Graeme Jones will take charge of the team for the match against Manchester United at St James’ Park.

“Everyone at Newcastle United extends their best wishes to Eddie for a speedy recovery, and further updates will follow in due course,” the club added.

The Magpies are looking to build on their recent Carabao Cup success, where they lifted their first domestic trophy in 70 years with a win over Liverpool.

With Howe out, Tindall and Jones will have their work cut out to lead the team to victory against a strong Manchester United side.

We wish Eddie Howe a speedy recovery and hope for his return to the dugout soon.
