Liverpool on brink of title glory after Arsenal’s draw on Wednesday

Liverpool are one point away from clinching their 20th Premier League title after Arsenal and Crystal Palace drew 2-2 at the Emirates Stadium.

A draw for Liverpool against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday would now be enough to secure the championship.

Arsenal, who have key players rested for their Champions League semi-final, took the lead through Jakub Kiwior’s header from a Martin Odegaard free-kick.

Crystal Palace equalized through Eberechi Eze’s clever volley before Leandro Trossard restored Arsenal’s lead just before half-time.

However, Palace fought back to level the score through Jean-Philippe Mateta’s excellent chipped finish after a loose pass from William Saliba.

The draw keeps Liverpool top of the table, 12 points clear with just a few games left to play.
