Barcelona twice clawed their way back to earn a dramatic 3-3 draw against Inter Milan in a pulsating six-goal Champions League semi-final first leg, setting up a tantalising second leg at San Siro.
Inter delivered an early shock just 30 seconds in when Marcus Thuram met Denzel Dumfries’ low cross with a brilliant backheel flick—the fastest goal ever recorded in a Champions League semi-final.
The visitors doubled their lead 20 minutes later through Dumfries himself, who lashed home a spectacular acrobatic volley, leaving the hosts with a steep challenge at the Montjuic Olympic Stadium.
Enter Lamine Yamal. The 17-year-old sensation sparked Barcelona’s revival, weaving past defenders to score a sublime solo goal in the 24th minute, the ball glancing off the post on its way in.
Yamal, who also struck the woodwork twice, celebrated his 100th appearance with a dazzling display and his 22nd goal for the club.
Barcelona drew level before halftime, thanks to Ferran Torres, who converted from close range after Raphinha nodded down a crossfield pass from Pedri.
Dumfries struck again in the 63rd minute, heading in from a Hakan Calhanoglu corner to restore Inter’s advantage.
But the lead was short-lived—just two minutes later, Raphinha’s thunderous 25-yard drive rattled the crossbar, rebounded off Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer’s back, and crossed the line to make it 3-3.
With both sides showcasing attacking brilliance, the semi-final remains finely balanced ahead of Tuesday’s decisive return leg in Milan.
