Alex Iwobi delivered a goal and an assist as Fulham overturned an early deficit to beat Brentford 3-1 and claim their second Premier League victory of the season.
The visitors struck first when Josh King’s misplaced pass on the edge of his own area was seized upon by Mikkel Damsgaard, who coolly slotted into the corner.
Fulham hit back midway through the half, Iwobi pouncing on a loose ball in the box to fire through the legs of Brentford captain Nathan Collins.
Just two minutes later, the Nigerian midfielder split the defence with a perfectly timed pass that Harry Wilson lashed home to put the hosts in front.
The momentum stayed with Marco Silva’s side after the break, and their pressure told when Ryan Sessegnon’s cross was misjudged by Ethan Pinnock, the defender diverting the ball into his own net.
Rodrigo Muniz appeared to have added a fourth with a thunderous half-volley, only for VAR to rule it out after a collision with Collins in the build-up left the Bees defender bloodied.
Fulham’s deserved win lifted them to seventh in the table, while Brentford slipped to 17th after another frustrating afternoon.
