Doha: Al Rayyan SC secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Umm Salal SC in their Week 21 clash of the 2025-2026 Qatar Stars League at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Wednesday.
The win lifted Al Rayyan to 35 points, while Umm Salal remained on 20 points.
Rodrigo Moreno gave Al Rayyan the lead in the 28th minute, capitalising on a goal-mouth scramble to head home from close range.
Just four minutes later, Róger Guedes doubled the advantage with a fine individual effort, surging into the box and beating two defenders before slotting past the goalkeeper.
Al Rayyan maintained control throughout the contest and sealed the result deep into stoppage time when Guedes struck again. The Brazilian forward reacted quickest after a cross from the right was parried by goalkeeper Rami Hamada, guiding the rebound into the left corner.
The brace took Guedes’ tally to 20 league goals this season, underlining his prolific form as Al Rayyan strengthened their position in the standings.
