Bayern Munich delivered a ruthless performance to thrash St. Pauli 5-0 at the Millerntor-Stadion, extending their dominance at the top of the Bundesliga with a five-star display.
The visitors wasted no time asserting control, opening the scoring in the 9th minute through Jamal Musiala, who powered home a header from a precise cross by Konrad Laimer. The early goal set the tone for a one-sided contest as Bayern dictated possession and tempo.
Despite trailing, St. Pauli showed brief resistance in the first half, limiting further damage and going into the break just one goal down.
However, the second half turned into a Bayern masterclass.
Leon Goretzka doubled the lead in the 53rd minute, arriving late in the box to finish off a flowing move. Just a minute later, Michael Olise made it 3-0, capitalizing on defensive disorganization as Bayern overwhelmed their hosts.
The pressure did not stop there. Bayern continued to attack relentlessly, and in the 65th minute, Nicolas Jackson added a fourth with a composed finish, capping off a devastating spell.
The fifth goal completed the rout, sealing an emphatic 5-0 victory and underlining Bayern’s attacking firepower as they continue to break records this season.
Bayern’s dominance was reflected in the numbers, controlling nearly 75% possession and outshooting St. Pauli comfortably, leaving the hosts with little opportunity to respond.
The result not only strengthens Bayern Munich’s grip at the top of the table but also highlights their relentless attacking form, having already broken Bundesliga scoring records this season.
For St. Pauli, it was a harsh reminder of the gap in quality, as they continue their fight to avoid relegation.
