Doha: The Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) has unveiled the full calendar for the Qatar Youth Cup competitions in the 2025-2026 sports season, encompassing the Under-14, Under-16, and Under-19 categories, along with the Federation Cup for Juniors.
This initiative underscores the Federation’s strong commitment to nurturing young talent and bolstering the grassroots development of basketball across Qatari clubs.
All matches will take place at the Federation Hall, featuring a dense schedule of high-intensity encounters throughout April and May 2026 to ensure continuous competition and exciting rivalries among the participating teams.
Federation Cup for Juniors
The Juniors Federation Cup gets underway on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, with four opening-round matches. At 5:00pm, Al-Khor will face Al-Wakrah and Al-Arabi will take on Qatar Club. This will be followed at 6:30pm by Al-Rayyan versus Al-Shamal and Al-Ahli against Al-Gharafa.
The winner of the Al-Khor versus Al-Wakrah tie will then challenge Al-Sadd on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 5:00pm to secure a place in the semifinals.
Semifinals are scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026, with pairings to be confirmed based on previous results. The grand final will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 5:00pm.
Qatar Cup – Under 14
The U14 Qatar Cup begins on Monday, April 20, 2026. Four matches are set for the opening day: Al-Shamal versus Al-Khor and Al-Ahli versus Al-Arabi at 5:00pm, followed by Al-Rayyan versus Qatar Club and Al-Wakrah versus Al-Sadd at 6:00pm.
Al-Gharafa will await the winner of Al-Shamal versus Al-Khor on Saturday, April 25, 2026, to complete the semifinal lineup.
Semifinals will be played on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, while the final is slated for Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Federation Hall.
Qatar Cup – Under 16
Action in the U16 category starts on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, with Al-Khor facing Qatar Club and Al-Gharafa taking on Al-Shamal at 5:00pm. Later at 6:30pm, Al-Sadd will meet Al-Ahli and Al-Wakrah will clash with Al-Rayyan.
Al-Arabi will confront the winner of Al-Khor versus Qatar Club on Saturday, April 25, 2026, for a semifinal berth.
Semifinals are set for Wednesday, April 29, 2026, with the final scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
Qatar Cup – Under 19
The U19 competition kicks off on Thursday, April 23, 2026. Opening matches include Al-Wakrah versus Al-Khor and Qatar Club versus Al-Rayyan at 5:00pm, followed by Al-Arabi versus Al-Ahli and Al-Shamal versus Al-Sadd at 6:30pm.
Al-Gharafa will play the winner of Al-Wakrah versus Al-Khor on Sunday, April 26, 2026, to determine the final semifinalist.
Semifinals will take place on April 30, 2026, and the final is scheduled for Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Federation Hall.
