Doha: The Qatari capital will officially kick off the eFIBA World Finals Qatar Season 4 on Friday, marking an exciting collaboration between the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qatar 2027 Local Organising Committee, the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), and the Qatar Esports Federation. The two-day competition will take place at the Mall of Qatar on July 3 and 4, 2026.
This landmark event forms an integral part of the promotional activities and preparations for the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qatar 2027, scheduled to be hosted in Doha from August 27 to September 12, 2027. The tournament will bring together some of the world’s top national teams and basketball talents to Qatar, further elevating the country’s status as a global sporting hub.
The eFIBA World Finals Qatar Season 4 features eight national teams divided into two competitive groups. Group A comprises Algeria, France, Germany, and the Philippines, while Group B includes hosts Qatar, the Dominican Republic, Lebanon, and Türkiye. Each team will be represented by five players, bringing a total of 40 talented athletes to compete in the virtual basketball arena.
Action on Day 1, Friday, July 3, begins with a full slate of group-stage matches. France will face the Philippines, Türkiye meets the Dominican Republic, Germany takes on Algeria, and Lebanon plays against hosts Qatar. The schedule continues with Germany against France, Lebanon versus Türkiye, Algeria against the Philippines, and the Dominican Republic facing Qatar. The group stage will conclude with France versus Algeria, Türkiye against Qatar, Germany meeting the Philippines, and Lebanon facing the Dominican Republic.
The competition will transition into the knockout stage later on Friday, with Saturday, July 4, reserved for the final phase, culminating in the grand finale where the Season 4 champion will be crowned.
A substantial prize pool of $50,000 will be distributed among the top four teams, with the champions receiving $20,000, runners-up $ 10,000, third place USD 6,000, and fourth place $4,000. Individual accolades include the Defensive Player of the Tournament and Finals MVP, each worth $2,500, along with the All-Star Five selection, where each member receives $1,000.

Season 3 took place in Clark, Philippines, in December 2024, with the USA successfully defending their title against Türkiye.
