Doha: The ninth edition of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour got underway on Thursday with Round 11 taking place at the main arena of the Qatar Equestrian Federation.
The championship, organised in partnership with Al Shaqab, a member of Qatar Foundation, features a total of 14 rounds this season.
The three-day competition opened with the Amateur Tour (100cm), followed by the Silver Tour (130cm), attracting more than 65 riders.
In the Amateur Tour, Sultan Jassim Al Suwaidi claimed top honours with a time of 23.11 seconds aboard Cat Blue. Mariam Abdulkarim Abdul secured both second and third places, clocking 24.94 seconds on Sandro and 25.03 seconds on Miss Serena. The winners were awarded by Saeed Al Rashdi, Deputy Director of the Championship.

The Silver Tour delivered intense competition, with Bader Al-Fard taking victory in 41.66 seconds on Murdock. Hamad Nasser Al-Qadi followed in second place with 43.53 seconds on Happy Tina, while Rami Younes finished third in 44.67 seconds on Mauran. Mohammed Saleh Al-Marri, Head of the Facilities and Logistics Committee, presented the awards.
The Longines Hathab series remains one of Qatar’s premier domestic equestrian competitions, providing a high-level platform to develop riders’ skills, nurture emerging talent, and prepare athletes to represent the nation on the international stage.
