Doha: The Qatari national basketball team is set to commence its participation in the 12th King Abdullah II International Cup Championship, scheduled to take place at Prince Hamzah Hall in Amman, Jordan, from November 16 to 18.
The team’s first game will be against the Syrian national team on Saturday, November 16, at 6:00 PM.
This year’s tournament features four participating teams: Qatar, Palestine, Syria, and the host nation, Jordan. The Qatari team will face the Palestinian team in their second game on Sunday, November 17, at 6:00 PM. It will conclude its participation against the Jordanian squad on Monday, November 18, at 8:00 PM.
The coaching staff, under the leadership of Turkish coach Hakan Demir, has revealed the roster of players who will compete in this tournament, which serves as a crucial preparatory event for the Asian qualifiers for the 2025 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia.
The Qatari national team is slated to host the Indian national team on November 21, as part of the second Asian window for Group E matches, followed by a home game against the Iranian national team at Al Gharafa Hall in Doha on November 25.
