Doha: Al Arabi secured a 2-0 victory over Al Shahania in their Week 20 clash of the Doha Bank Stars League at Khalifa International Stadium on Friday, completing a season double over their opponents.
The match remained tightly contested for much of the game before Pablo Sarabia broke the deadlock in the 75th minute with a superb strike on the run. The Spaniard converted from close range after meeting a cross from Abdullah Marafee, with Al Shahania’s Yousuf Al Raeesi unable to intercept.

Al Arabi sealed the win deep into stoppage time as Karl Toko-Ekambi added a second goal in the 90+10 minute, finishing off a well-worked move initiated by Jordan Veretout.
Despite creating several promising opportunities, Al Shahania were unable to find the back of the net.
The victory saw Al Arabi climb to 31 points, while Al Shahania remained on 17 points in 12th place in the standings.
