Al Wakrah cruise to 4-1 victory over Qatar SC in Doha Bank Stars League

Doha: Al Wakrah produced a commanding performance to defeat Qatar SC 4-1 in their Week 20 encounter of the 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Friday.

The visitors struck with clinical efficiency, with four different players finding the net to secure an emphatic win that lifted Al Wakrah to 26 points in the standings.

Yusuf Abdurisag opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a well-taken header, before Aissa Laidouni doubled the advantage in the 29th minute with a powerful long-range strike.

Redouane Berkane added a third goal just before halftime, capitalising on a defensive lapse to give Al Wakrah a comfortable lead at the break.

Amin Zahzou extended the lead further in the 60th minute, effectively sealing the result. Qatar SC were denied a route back into the match when they missed a penalty shortly afterwards, and could only manage a late consolation goal through Ahmed Al-Rawi five minutes from time.

The defeat left Qatar SC on 28 points.

The result highlighted Al Wakrah’s attacking strength and defensive organisation, as they controlled large portions of the match and converted their opportunities with precision.

Qatar SC, playing at home, struggled to impose themselves and were punished for lapses in concentration, particularly in the first half.

The victory boosts Al Wakrah’s position in the mid-table battle, while Qatar SC will need to regroup quickly as the season enters its decisive phase.
