Doha: Al Arabi SC and Qatar SC settled for a 1-1 draw in a closely-contested Week 21 encounter of the 2025-2026 Qatar Stars League at Al Thumama Stadium on Wednesday.
Al Arabi broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute through Karl Toko Ekambi, who made the most of a defence-splitting pass from Ahmed Fathi to calmly slot the ball past advancing goalkeeper Ali Nader Mahmoud.
Both sides continued to press for goals, but the scoreline remained unchanged heading into the interval, with defences holding firm under sustained pressure.
Qatar SC found the equaliser in the 77th minute as João Pedro rose to head home from close range after Abdulrasheed Umaru’s initial effort struck the post, following a well-delivered cross by Raoul Sanda.
The closing stages saw both teams push for a decisive goal, but resolute defending at either end ensured the contest ended level.
The result leaves both sides tied on 32 points, with Qatar SC occupying fifth place and Al Arabi sixth on goal difference, as the league campaign approaches its decisive phase.
