The final stages of the competition delivered high-intensity action and strong performances from all participating teams, with an enthusiastic crowd enjoying the season’s decisive matches.

Organised under the Qatar Rugby Federation, the tournament featured six men’s teams competing in Rugby XV, Doha Rugby men’s team, Blue Falcons, Camels, Fites, Doha Titans, and Oryx, alongside three women’s teams contesting the Rugby Sevens category: Oryx, Doha Ladies, and Camels.

The men’s final proved a one-sided yet commanding display, as Doha Rugby men’s team delivered a dominant performance to defeat Camels 44–0 and secure the championship title. Their clinical execution and defensive solidity ensured a deserved triumph, capping off a strong campaign.

In the women’s Rugby Sevens competition, Doha Ladies emerged victorious after edging Oryx 19–12 in a closely fought contest. The match remained competitive until the closing stages, with Doha Ladies maintaining composure to seal the win and lift the trophy.

At the conclusion of the finals, Abdullah Aman Al-Khater, Secretary-General of the Qatar Rugby Federation, and Saad Badr Al-Abdullah, Board Member, crowned the champions in front of an appreciative audience, marking the culmination of a successful season.

Talal Mujalli, Head of Rugby at the Federation, expressed satisfaction with the overall standard of the competition, highlighting the technical quality displayed by players and the continued expansion of rugby in Qatar. He pointed in particular to the increasing participation at youth level, which is contributing to the sport’s long-term development.

Meanwhile, Abbas Kharfani, Technical Director of the Federation, commended the competitive level of the finals and stressed the importance of such tournaments in identifying talent for the national team. He noted that preparations are underway for Qatar’s upcoming fixture against Saudi Arabia on May 15 in Doha, part of the international rankings framework.

Kharfani also confirmed that the season-ending festival will be held on May 21, featuring an exhibition match that brings together standout players from Qatari clubs. The event is set to celebrate the achievements of the season while further promoting the growth and visibility of rugby across the country.

The conclusion of the season reflects the positive trajectory of rugby in Qatar, driven by structured competitions, grassroots engagement, and a growing community of players and supporters.
