Doha: Al Sadd Club continued their brilliance in the 2024-2025 Qatar Basketball League season after achieving an impressive 108-86 victory over Al Ahli in the game that was held yesterday evening at the Al Gharafa Hall as part of the games of the tenth round.
The game witnessed clear control by Al Sadd, who presented a balanced collective performance throughout the game.
The beginning was strong with Al Sadd leading in the first quarter with a score of 31-27, then the team continued their control in the second quarter to excel with a score of 23-16, to end the first half with a comfortable lead of 54-43.
In the third quarter, Al Sadd continued to provide a distinguished performance, achieving 26-19, and in the fourth quarter, despite Al Ahli’s attempts to come back, Al Sadd were able to decide the game in their favor by a difference of 22 points, as the fourth quarter ended 28-24.
Al Sadd’s Skyler Tyrone Flatten proved his high capabilities by scoring 43 points, making him the top scorer in the game, while Rayquan Deshawn Rogers was the top scorer for Al Ahli with 18 points.
With this win, Al Sadd raised their score to 18 points in second place, continuing to chase Al Rayyan, the leader, who have 19 points, while Al Ahli have 16 points.
Al Arabi outperform Al Shamal
In another game that was also held at Al Gharafa Hall, Al Arabi achieved an important victory over Al Shamal with a score of 98-84, in a game that was characterized by excitement and competition.
Al Arabi started the match strongly, excelling in the first quarter 27-22, and in the second quarter they continued their superiority, scoring 30-17, to win the first half 57-39.
In the third quarter, the match witnessed a strong comeback from Al Shamal, who won 28-24, but in the fourth quarter, the game ended in a 17-17 draw, giving Al Arabi the opportunity to maintain their lead and win the game.
Al Arabi’s Mostafa Fouda was the top scorer in the game with 29 points, while Al Shamal’s Emmanuel Ezenwa Egbota shone and scored 24 points, but that was not enough to secure the win.
With this win, Al Arabi raised their tally to 15 points from nine matches, equalling Al Shamal who played 10 matches, and the two teams occupy the fourth and fifth places in the standings.
