Juventus see off Genoa with early goals to secure comfortable win

Juventus completed a controlled 2-0 victory over Genoa, with their early first-half goals proving enough to settle the contest at the Allianz Stadium.

Juventus came out with clear intent and wasted no time taking control of the game. Their fast start paid off almost immediately when Gleison Bremer opened the scoring early on, reacting quickest inside the box to give the hosts the perfect start.

That early breakthrough set the tone for the match.

Juventus continued to dominate possession and push forward, keeping Genoa pinned back and struggling to build any meaningful rhythm. Their pressure paid off again shortly after, as Weston McKennie doubled the lead, finishing off a well-worked move to cap a strong opening spell.

At 2-0, Juventus were fully in control.

Genoa found it difficult to respond throughout the first half, with their attacking play lacking cohesion and cutting edge. Juventus, meanwhile, looked organized and composed, winning key duels and limiting the visitors to very few opportunities.

The second half saw a more measured approach from the home side.

Rather than forcing the game, Juventus focused on control, keeping possession, managing the tempo, and maintaining their defensive structure. Genoa improved slightly after the break and showed more intent going forward, but they still struggled to create clear chances or truly test the Juventus defense.

As the game progressed, Juventus remained comfortable, occasionally threatening on the counter while ensuring there were no late complications.

In the end, the damage had already been done in the opening stages.

For Juventus, it was a professional performance, sharp early, efficient in front of goal, and composed enough to see the game out without stress.

For Genoa, it was a difficult outing. Falling behind early left them chasing the game, and they never quite found the quality needed to get back into it.

A result that reflects Juventus’ control from start to finish.
