Doha: The official draw for the 2026 Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship has placed Qatar in a tough Pool B, as the national team prepares to compete in the prestigious continental tournament.
The event is scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad, India, from June 20 to 28.
According to the draw results, Qatar will face strong opponents in Pool B, including South Korea, Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand, and Oman. The group is considered well-balanced yet highly competitive, posing significant technical and tactical challenges for all participating teams.
The Qatari national squad enters the championship with high ambitions, aiming to build on recent performances and its improved standing in the Asian rankings to strengthen its presence on the continental stage.
Meanwhile, Pool A comprises the host nation India, along with Australia, Bahrain, Chinese Taipei, Kazakhstan, and New Zealand.
The 12 participating teams have been divided into two pools of six, setting the stage for an intensely contested tournament as sides vie for the Asian title.
