Samla International Race returns in 2027 with global endurance challenge

Staff Reporter

Doha: Visit Qatar, in partnership with Qatar Challenge Racing Club (Samla), has announced the return of the Samla International Race, scheduled for January 23, 2027. The highly anticipated event will once again attract male and female athletes from around the world to compete in one of Qatar’s most demanding endurance challenges.

Since its launch in 2017, the Samla Race has become a prominent fixture on Qatar’s sporting calendar. As the official partner of the international edition, Visit Qatar continues to back initiatives that reinforce the country’s standing as a premier destination for sports tourism and major global events.

Renowned for its intensity, the Samla International Race pushes participants to their physical and mental limits. Covering a total distance of 100km within a strict 12-hour cut-off time, the race comprises four endurance disciplines: swimming, running, cycling, and kayaking. Each segment is designed to test athletes’ stamina, resilience, and adaptability across diverse terrains and conditions.

Additional details, including registration and participation guidelines, will be announced in due course.
