Qatar Stars League signs co-operation agreement with City University

Doha: The Qatar Stars League (QSL) announced the signing of a co-operation agreement with City University, according to which it joins the partners of #WelcomeToTheStadium initiative in the 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League that will be activated as per the agreed marketing plan.

City University is a modern and dynamic university based in Qatar, offering undergraduate, postgraduate and higher diploma degrees accredited by the University of Ulster in the UK, as well as providing distinguished educational programmes that encourage creativity and innovation.

Commenting on the new partnership, Hassan Rabiah Al Kuwari, Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Communication at QSL, said, “In continuation of our business development plan and our continuous efforts to strengthen our relationship with all companies and institutions in the community, we’re pleased to announce the co-operation agreement with City University to join the #WelcomeToTheStadium initiative, which aims to improve match day experience and enhance the attendance of fans. We hope this co-operation will result in achieving the common goals and aspirations of both entities.”

On his part, Professor Faris Gorashi Faris, President of City University, said, “We, at City University, are pleased to join the #WelcomeToTheStadium initiative and collaborate with QSL, as this partnership reflects our shared vision to enhance the sporting and cultural experience in the community. This initiative also aims to introduce sports fans to our distinguished academic programmes, which include bachelor’s, master’s and higher diploma degrees accredited by the University of Ulster in the UK. Through this partnership, we seek to make an effective contribution to improving the fans’ experience on match day while highlighting our commitment to providing high-quality British education that promotes innovation and creativity. We look forward to achieving the common goals that link academic education and sport, which contribute to the development of Qatari society and provide innovative educational opportunities for our students.”
