Doha: Qatari rider Faleh Suwaid Al Ajami delivered a home triumph in the feature CSI5* class, while Saudi Arabia’s Khalid Al Hadi stole the spotlight with two impressive wins on the second day of the Qatar Equestrian Federation (QEF) Cup 2026 at the Longines Arena in Al Shaqab.
The competition, the final leg of the Doha Equestrian Tour 2026, continued on Friday in a controlled environment without public attendance, with live coverage broadcast across multiple platforms and the event’s official social media channels.
In the headline CSI5* 1.55m Jump-Off, Al Ajami and his mount Wathnan Capella produced a clear first round in 75.13 seconds before posting four penalties in the jump-off, clocking 44.10 seconds to secure top honours.
Al Hadi produced one of the standout performances of the day, claiming victory in two classes. He first topped the CSI1* 1.30m Faults & Time aboard Carlton de Sauvageonn in 55.68 seconds, then added the CSI3* 1.35m Special Two-Phases with Capoen, recording clear rounds in 39.44 seconds and 33.33 seconds respectively.

Kuwaiti rider Anaaz Al Annaz and Be Bop de Lyons won the CSI3* 1.40m Faults & Time in 65.74 seconds, while fellow Saudi rider Bader Al Fard triumphed in the CSI3* 1.30m Faults & Time with Murdock in 71.40 seconds.
Earlier in the day, Qatari rider Alya Ahmad A A Al Khater and Vahine de Curaine claimed the CSICh-B 1.05m Special Two-Phase, and Saudi rider Noura Alrasheed took the CSIJ-B 1.15m Special Two-Phase aboard Flash NH.
In the CSI1* 1.15m Immediate Jump-Off, Saudi rider Halah Alrasheed and Cruising On The Ridge emerged victorious.
Speaking after his win in the CSI5* class, Al Ajami said: “Things came together well for me. I managed to produce a clear round in the first round, and in the jump-off I tried to put pressure on the riders who came after me. In the end, it worked out well and I was able to take first place.”
The Qatar Equestrian Federation Cup features more than 170 riders from 21 countries competing across one- to five-star categories over four days, with a total prize purse of €784,000.
The event is organised by the Qatar Equestrian Federation in collaboration with Al Shaqab and the Qatar Olympic Committee.
