Doha: The 13th round of the ninth edition of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour continued on Thursday at the main arena of the Qatar Equestrian Federation, with riders competing in the Amateur and Silver classes amid strong competition.

The prestigious tour, organised by the Qatar Equestrian Federation in partnership with Al Shaqab — a member of Qatar Foundation — consists of 14 rounds aimed at developing equestrian sport in the country.

In the Amateur Round at a height of 100cm, Nasser Hamad Al Thani claimed first place aboard Equinox after clocking 23.55 seconds.

Al Qaqa’a bin Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani secured second place on Bon Soueila with a time of 24.05 seconds, while Moza Hamza Al Kuwari finished third aboard Hanin in 26.61 seconds.

The winners were crowned by Mohammed Saleh Al-Marri, Head of the Facilities and Logistics Committee for the championship.

The Silver Round at a height of 130cm also witnessed intense competition, with Madhi Al-Khamis taking top honours aboard Bevor after posting a winning time of 26.64 seconds.

Hussain Saeed Haidan finished second on Sausido with a time of 26.92 seconds, while Bader Al-Fard claimed third place aboard Murdock in 27.36 seconds.

The top riders in the Silver Round were crowned by Hassan Al-Nasr, Director of the Qatar Dressage Team.

The opening day of the tour also featured dressage competitions across the preliminary, second and first levels.

Najla Abdullah Al-Khalifi won the preliminary level title aboard Fidalgo with a score of 66.667 points, while Sheikha Shaikha Ahmed Al Thani secured the second level title on Fenwell with 68.813 points.

In the first level category, Hemyan Al-Kuwari topped the standings aboard Champ N Red with a score of 67.925 points.

The winners of the dressage classes were honoured by Hassan Al-Nasr alongside judges Irina Makanami and Mariam Al-Jaidah.

Longines Hathab remains one of Qatar’s leading domestic equestrian championships, providing riders with a high-level competitive platform to refine their skills and prepare for international competitions.

The tour also plays a key role in discovering and supporting emerging Qatari talent through the backing of the Qatar Equestrian Federation and its strategic partners.
