Doha: The Qatar Sports for All Federation, operating under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, is set to host the third edition of the “ONE RUN FOR ALL” global half-marathon. Scheduled for May 24 at the Lusail International Circuit, the event is expected to draw more than 2,500 participants of all ages, including children, adults, and senior citizens.
During a recent press conference, Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Federation, highlighted Doha’s role in this massive international event. He noted that Qatar is proudly participating in one of the world’s largest simultaneous half-marathons, connecting Doha with over 110 countries. The global race boasts more than 200,000 runners worldwide, including massive participation from Russia and tens of thousands from nations like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, China, and Brazil.
Expanded categories for family fun
To encourage widespread community participation and allow families to run alongside their children, this year’s competition features six distinct race categories:

Kids’ Dash: A new 400-meter race specifically for children.

Family & Fun Runs: 1-kilometer and a newly introduced 2.5-kilometer course.

Competitive Distances: 5-kilometer, 10-kilometer, and the full 21.1-kilometer half-marathon.

Event schedule
Al Dosari emphasized that the event is designed to be a memorable evening for runners and their supporters alike, complete with a festive atmosphere:

4:30 PM: Fan zone and entertainment activities begin.

9:00 PM: All races officially commence.

10:00 PM: Races conclude.
The upcoming marathon promises to build on the success of previous editions, offering an engaging and active night out for participants, families, and friends.
